RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders Cambridgeshire

Welcome to RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders Cambridgeshire, please have a wander around our website to see who we are, what we do and where and when we are holding our meetings

Who are we?
RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders Cambridgeshire (RoADARC) are a friendly local group of RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders (RoADAR). Our aim is to reduce road traffic collisions by encouraging an interest in road safety through improving driving standards, knowledge and skill. We have been in existence (in various guises) for over 30 years and have helped hundreds of drivers and riders in that time.
We are committed to:
  • Road Safety
  • Promoting the Police System of Car and Motorcycle Control
  • Free training for members to improve their skills and prepare for the RoSPA Advanced Test if they wish
How do we do this
We provide FREE* training to members of the group using one of our qualified and carefully selected Advanced Driving or Riding Tutors. Every member is assigned one of the group's Tutors for one-to-one tuition at mutually convenient times. It generally takes 10-15 sessions to achieve Test Standard although just a small number of sessions will improve your skills. You will feel much more confident about your driving or riding skills and will be less likely to have a collision.
*We are all volunteers and do not receive any payment for your training so we do ask that you offer a contribution to your Bike Tutor’s fuel costs.
What else do we do?
We hold meetings and events throughout the year, we have rideouts which drivers are welcome to attend and we arrange visits to places where you may otherwise not get to see.
Our meetings are normally held at Over Community and Conference Centre, The Doles, Over, CB24 5NW but we also have an online version at the same time, please see the Meetings and Events page for more information.
